When everything becomes nothing

The title sounds like what a girl will say when her boy left her huh? Well, no worries. I'm not heartbroken or anything. In fact, I'm talking about Doomsday, D-Day, Judgement Day, Last Judgement, End of the World, Day of the Lord or anything you wanna call it.

Are you interested in this topic? Well, I'm, as are many others. People tried predicting the exact date all the time. For our generation, it's 2012. Hope not, we're still too young to die x) Life is just about to begin for us pigs at 2012. For my parents' generation, their predicted doomsday is 2000. Obviously it isn't true. :D

Anyways, the Bible said the time is near. That could be anytime, tomorrow or next millennium, since God doesn't work on the same schedule as us. Read on, even if you aren't a Christian. Some parts of the Bible foretell the Armageddon (another name for Judgement Day, or known as World War III to some) and if it's true, it's starting.

"Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom."- Matthew 24:7
Surely you have seen this sign being fulfilled since 1914. It's the year World War 1 began. It was total war. Yet only 21 years after that war ended, World War 2 began, the only difference was it's 4 times as destructive as the first. *See, I'm good at history :D* Guess people nowadays aren't apes looking to fight all the time, since it's been 65 years since World War 2 ended. But it isn't exactly a sweet 100th anniversary too. That's all history, you might say. But flip today's newspapers, browse the Internet if you're lazy, there are still wars going on, just not on a worldwide scale.

Well, no need to elaborate. I bet you know all about this. It's all over our Form 2 Geo syllabus.

"In one place after another pestilences."- Luke 21:11
In case you don't know what pestilences mean, find a dictionary and look it up. Right now. Go. I'm serious. My blog will still be here when you get back. Promise.












Seriously, go grab your favourite teacher that doesn't talk.




       For those who already know what it means, bravo! Honestly I don't know how hard a word pestilence is. If it's easy, well, I don't know where to hide my face. It'll be like me saying to an adult, "Do you know how to spell apple? A! P! P! L! E! APPLE! Now, repeat after me. A-" Adult slaps me and walk away.

       For those who actually ran off and looked it up, well done. ;)
       For those of you slackers who didn't know and didn't look it up either (cough lazy cough) I'll just tell you.

But right here I'm talking about the first meaning. Right after the first World War, many died of the Spanish flu. Sounds familiar? That's what Edward Cullen (Twilight) suffered from x). The death toll was around 21 million people! Enough to wipe away most of Malaysians. *Approximately 27 million people live in Malaysia. Add one thousand for those illegal people that just landed on your beach =P* And for the 21st century, there's Sars, the babi influenza H1N1 and another bacteria called "End of the World bacteria"(direct translation from Chinese. No idea what it's called in English).

 He was voted most girly male star, getting 2nd. The champion is Justin Bieber. LOL 

"There will be earthquakes in one place after another."- Matthew 24:7

If you had poke your head out of the window once in a while, and not hole up in your bedroom, you should know there were earthquakes in China, Indonesia, Haiti, Chile, New Zealand and some more countries recently. :( Some small ones even happened in Sabah. But only in the face of death, human's true nature will be shown. Some will help, others will steal. Oh dang, I sound like some wise old guy with long sliver hair =S

I can almost hear somebody groan "Oh dear, first Twilight. Now Harry Potter. What's next? And I thought this is supposed to be about DDay."

"Increasing of lawlessness."- Matthew 24:12

Murders, rape, robberies, violence... I even remembered Bibi's status: Everyday's newspaper: Crime, rape, celebrities, sports.  xD or something like that.

"Men become faint out of fear."- Luke 21:26

Good thing it wrote men, not women.

"Disobedience to parents."- 2 Timothy 3:2

I bet this sounds very familiar.

"Lovers of money."- 2 Timothy 3:2

"Lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God."- 2 Timothy 3:4

"Ruining the Earth."- Revelation 11:18

Common sense right? Greenhouse effects, pollutions, haze, acid rain etc. Geeee while preparing for PMR those facts were pretty much burned into my brain. Ouch.

p/s/s: For others, you still had to thank me. It's not a piece of cake to get all those facts right, y'know. I had a book called "Live Forever" to help, but still, it's outdated. Published in 1989. SO you see, it won't have stuff like New Zealand's earthquake or who got voted first as the most girly male star. It won't be hard. Just drop a comment with thank you written in it. :D easy peasy. Btw, if you want to borrow the Live Forever book, just ask. It's basically about Christianity, an introduction. And stuff about doomsday x)
